What does sealing my pavers do?

Sealing your pavers provides it protection from the elements and will help maintain their natural beauty. Grass and dirt won’t get into their cracks, weeds and plants won’t grow up and displace them, and pesky bugs won’t be able to displace them as well. It will also keep any water and oil from entering between the pavers as well.

How long does sealing pavers take?

Depending on the weather sealing pavers can take up to one to two days. The first day we aim to safely clean the pavers using pressure washing and other cleaning agents. This makes it so when we seal the pavers nothing can harm then from the inside like grass, weeds, and dirt. On the second day we blow off anything that may be on the pavers before applying the one or two coats of the sealant.

After 48-72 hours, vehicles can be safely driven over the newly sealed pavers.

How often should I reseal my pavers?

Generally the best time to reseal pavers is about 18 months after the initial sealing. However, certain areas can be resealed later on. Pool decks can be resealed every 3-4 years depending on the conditions around us, and driveways can be resealed every 2-3 years depending on the conditions as well.

Should I wait to seal my pavers after I just installed them?

Yes you should! It’s best to seal your pavers after 30-60 days of their installation.
